Hoops for fitness, wellbeing, mindfulness and FUN
Tarn shares her skills in these tailored sessions with an aim to support mental & physical wellbeing through movement and play. Learning simple to more advanced tricks with hoops, students will learn skills that boost confidence and promote self -expression.
Hooping promotes both physical and mental wellbeing, it supports and nurtures inclusion, coordination, spatial awareness, strength & mobility, confidence, dexterity, flexibility & FUN.
Tarn has been spinning the hoops for well over a decade, in that time she has spent 7 years working as a trainer at a local circus school. She has a diploma of fitness and a drive to make a positive difference to those around her. She has extensive experience working within education and has provided numerous ongoing programs with a focus on Fun and on teen engagement.
These sessions are great for screenagers, using the hoop as a tool to find freedom in movement and to allow students to learn a new skill with a focus on self-expression and individuality. Tarn has a particular passion for guiding others to honour and own their strengths and weaknesses, within and without the hoop. These sessions involve students journaling their hoop journey. Ongoing sessions have the option of a performance-based outcome.
These sessions are energetic, jam packed with skills and FUN. Ideal for all ages, students will have the opportunity to step into the spin of the hoopla, exploring singular and multiple hoop tricks.
Students will be guided to decorate and upcycle old preloved hoops. This can be a singular or ongoing session, which will be followed by a hoop workshop where they will learn how spin the hoops. Students and schools can opt to keep the hoops or link with a local community group to donate their hoops and potentially share their hoop skills – via a performance.
Talk to us about how we can spin into your school and make a difference with circles.

“Hoop Fusion, led by Tarnya, has been working with our students for 2 years now and it always amazes me what the students learn and achieve in the 8-week block. Tarnya always has a smile on her face and her engaging and inviting nature always encourages students to try to their full potential. ”
